Ridgeview Students, Staff, Families, and Community,
It has been a while since the last update regarding the basement. I wanted to provide what I hope is the final update on our basement project!
The basement has been restored to as close to pre-flood status as possible, and we are ready to move back into the space! Although it is not completely finished, the majority of the work remaining is aesthetic (paint, trim, etc.) and can be completed in the coming weeks and months. We do not want to delay using the space any longer than necessary. We have a move-in day scheduled for Monday, October 24th and we plan to open the basement back for full usage on October 31st.
Monday will be a busy day emptying the contents of the storage units that have been sitting in the parking lot since August. Once those are empty, we will get them moved out as quickly as possible. Due to the space needed to load the containers onto a trailer, parking in the Elementary School lot will be closed starting Monday until all units are picked up. We are hopeful they will be picked up by the end of next week. Student drop-off and pick-up will continue to run as normal.
It has been a long three months with many obstacles. I can’t thank you all enough for your help, patience, and understanding while we worked through this challenge. It reinforces for me how supportive the Ridgeview community is, and why this is such a great place! Thank you all for your continued support of Ridgeview Schools!
Mr. Young
