Junior High Student Council will be selling Candy Cane Grams starting today in the morning before school. Send a Candy Cane Gram to a friend or yourself for just $1. Candy Cane Grams will be delivered on Dec. 20th before we leave for winter break!!!
The After Prom Committee will be hosting 'Shot for the Pot' during the HS boys basketball games at Ridgeview. One ticket will be drawn at halftime of the varsity game for someone to have a chance to make a half-court shot. If the person selected makes the shot, they win the pot which will start at $50. If they miss the shot the pot will grow and keep rolling over until someone makes it at a future home game. Only one person will be drawn to shoot each game. Tickets are $1 each or 5 for $6.
Tonight (Tuesday) is the first home game of the season for the HS Boys Basketball team - come and support the Mustangs - one lucky student could win $50 if they are in the stands during the drawing.
Auditions for the Spring Musical "Little Shop of Horrors" will be taking place after school on Monday, December 16th. Any High School or 8th Grade student interested in auditioning needs to grab an information packet and sign up for a time slot on the outside of the band room door. Here are a few reminders for ALL students and staff.
(1) Dress Code: Please ensure you are appropriately covered.
(2) No bags at all in the classroom.
(2) Cell phones should be put in the room holders.
(3) Earbuds should be taken out during class.
(4) Chromebooks need to come to school fully charged. The office will no longer have loaners for students who forget.
UPCOMING MEETINGS:
There will be a meeting for the 7th and 8th grade girl's basketball team today (Tuesday) at lunch. Please get your lunch and bring it to Mr. Kennedy's room.
There will be scholastic bowl practice after school in Mr. Scholp’s room today.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER:
Midwest Technical Institute, better known as MTI, will have a representative here on Wednesday, December 4th to talk to students interested in trades. They are especially known for their welding program.
The Sons of the American Revolution organization has an essay contest and a speech contest available to all high school students. See Mr. Quinn if you are interested in participating in one of these programs.
